The project concept is inspired by the geometry of cloth naturally falling onto the ground, translating the soft and dynamic behavior of fabric into a solid architectural language composed of double-curved panels. The design takes the approximated form of a hanging curtain and transforms it into an architectural element that shapes space, light, and experience.

The project consists of two curved surfaces suspended from a steel frame. As these suspended elements interact and overlap, they form layered conditions that allow filtered light to pass through.

At the same time, the space between the two solid cloth-like surfaces creates an intimate cocoon-like passage that provides shade, enclosure, and moments of spatial retreat.

The curved curtain forms frame views toward the sea, turning the curtain into a window to the landscape, while their cloth-inspired surfaces extend to the ground and establish visual connections with the water.

The individual double-curved panels are stitched together using ropes, creating a rose-like pattern across the surface. This assembly method reinforces the original textile inspiration of the project.

Integrated within this curtain geometry are perforations inspired by the mashrabiya, a traditional Middle Eastern architectural element known for balancing privacy, shading, and visual connection. By merging the concepts of the curtain and the mashrabiya, both functioning as window elements, the project creates a dialogue between privacy and openness, visibility and concealment, light and shadow, while also reflecting cultural identity and tradition.

This art project is conceived as a flexible, site-responsive installation that can be presented in a variety of settings. By adapting to different environments, the work establishes a unique dialogue with its surroundings and invites visitors to experience each space from a new perspective. Whether situated in public areas, cultural venues, or outdoor landscapes, the project encourages interaction, reflection, and connection.
